Boston's DrupalCon brought a lot of discussion due to a demo of integration of RDF into Drupal. See video (flash)

Dan Connolly and timbl hack around with RS232 ports and GPS devices.

Sean B. Palmer, a long-time Semantic Web advocate, has published an post describing how he thinks the Semantic Web approach is flawed and that instead we should use simpler formats and focus on solving real world use cases. This sparked quite extensive discussions.
