There is a large amount of metadata stored about books and resources within libraries could do with being more open.
The most promising Semantic Web approach at the moment seems to be BibliOntology.
The microformats community is working on a citation microformat.
Once both approaches are closer to conclusion, it would be desirable if the microformat could be GRDDLable.
